Data screening

Data screening (sometimes called "data screaming") is the process of making sure your data is clean and ready to go before you perform further data analysis. The data should be screened to ensure that the data is usable, reliable, and valid in order to test the theory.

STEPS OF DATA SCREENING:

Step 1 open the sheet where the data is entered, then open

·         Analyze> descriptive means> frequency

Step 2: Shift the variables from left box to the right box.

Step 3 Click on the statistics and the select the following options

Standard deviation, variance, minimum, maximum, mean, mode, median and sum

Then click on continue.

Step 4: click on the OK button

Conclusion 

After following steps as mentioned above, you have to screen from the tables that include frequency tables for demographic variables and the items of the test being used in the test.
